Gala Keynote Speaker: Alveda king

Allied Women's Center's annual gala is on Friday, Oct. 22, 2021 from 6 to 9 p.m. Here is a brief biography of our Keynote Speaker, Alveda King, a prominent, long-time pro-life advocate for precious unborn children.


Alveda King is a Christian Evangelist and civil rights activist. She is known for her creative contributions in film, politics, education and journalism. She is a television and radio personality and a devoted mother and grandmother. She is the niece or Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and the guardian of the King Family Legacy. 


Currently, she serves as Pastoral Associate and Director of Civil Rights for the Unborn, the African American outreach of Priests for Life. She is also a voice for the Silent No More Awareness Campaign, sharing her testimony of two abortions, and God's forgiveness and healing.
